The beautiful resort of Ovacik is just a 5 minute drive from the stunning beach of Olu Deniz, with a regular dolmus bus service connecting the two. The wonderful beach and lagoon, as well as Katranci Beach, just to the south, and the incredible long sandy beach at Patara are all absolutely stunning and perfect to laze the day away. The beach at Patara is 20 miles to the south and was recently voted the best beach in the world.
The temperature in Ovacik can range in winter from 15°-21° and during the summer between 26°-35°, perfect for topping up your tan and then cooling off in the crystal clear seas during the day. In Ovacik you will find plenty of little shops for those holiday essentials, such as sunglasses, lotions and ice creams, but if you are looking for good cheap souvenirs and the latest fashions then take a trip to nearby Hisaronu. The same goes for restaurants and bars, with plenty to choose from just a short dolmus ride away, offering all sorts of international cuisine as well as exquisite local dishes. There are many great day trips available from Ovacik for the more adventurous holiday makers, as well as activities on land or offshore.

Great Beaches
A holiday on the `Turquoise Coast` means you are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches. The wonderful beach and lagoon at Olu Deniz is the closest, Katranci Beach is just to the south and you must experience Patara Beach, a bus ride away, recently voted the best beach in the world.

Great Activities
For the ultimate experience why not try paragliding from Babadag Mountain to land on the beach below, or canoe down the Xanthos River to Patara or even go paint balling in the pine forests.
Great Day Trips
Fethiye is a great day out to see the busy bazaar and you can book up for glass bottom boat tours from Ovacik to visit the secluded coves along the coast, not forgetting also a day trip to Patara Beach. You can also spend a day on the nearby Greek island of Rhodes. 
Historical Excursions
The spectacular and eerie `ghost town` of Kayakoy is an absolute must to visit, as are the ancient Lycian rock tombs at Fethiye and Saklikent Gorge. Take a boat trip to picturesque `Butterfly Valley` and walk up from the lovely beach, through fields of beautiful butterflies, to the waterfalls.
