Now one of Tunisia`s most popular resorts, Port el Kantaoui was established in the late 1970`s on the central coast, in the region known as the Sahel. The large upmarket marina, full of expensive yachts, is the centrepiece of this holiday resort, attracting the Mediterranean jet setting crowd. Set around the marina you will find the main hub of holiday activity, including shops, boutiques, and cafes, and in the evening it really does come alive with lively bars and restaurants offering an array of delicious local and international cuisine.
Port el Kantaoui is popular with European families and Tunisians alike who all flock here for the wonderful coastline, traditional cobbled streets, fantastic weather and plenty of daytime and evening activities to make it the holiday resort with a bit of everything. Port el Kantaoui is sandwiched between the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Hammamet and acres of orchards of olive groves slightly inland and can offer tourists and holidaymakers beautiful wide stretches of fine sandy beaches. Golf enthusiasts will be pleased to know that Port el Kantaoui is host to two PGA approved 18 hole courses. There is the Panorama Course which is 6045 metres long, starting from the hill and the Sea Course, 6253 metres long that extends from the beach to the hill.
