Holidays in Mijas are split into two parts, Mijas Pueblo and Mijas Costa.
Milas Pueblo is a gorgeous, traditional village set slightly inland, at the foot of the mountains, a maze of narrow, cobbled streets, rising to the peak of the village for spectacular views. There is a good selection of small friendly restaurants in Milas Pueblo, catering for different tastes, yet specialising in delicious Andalusian cuisine. Stroll around the cobbled streets and explore the galleries and craft shops selling wickerwork, pottery, pewter and linens, before enjoying a few drinks at the restaurants in the evening. Mijas Costa, on the other hand, boasts 12km of golden sandy beaches running along the coastline, La Cala being the favourite, with water sports on offer and a good choice of lively bars, pubs, restaurants and music venues. Here you will find local and international cuisine in the restaurants and many of the British themed pubs advertising Sunday roasts, fish and chips and all day breakfasts. The souvenir shops in Mijas Costa sell good cheap holiday gifts. Mijas car hire is a great way to explore the surrounding areas of beauty, so check out our fantastic deals, all including a Mijas map to help your car hire run smoothly.
