Located on the south-east coast of Madeira, Machico is the oldest town on the island and offers relaxing holidays with great facilities and activities. The weather in Machico can reach 20° out of season and the mid to late 20`s during the summer months, perfect for sunbathing on the pebble beach so make sure you pack the sun cream.
Machico does have a few restaurants where you can enjoy the local and international cuisine. The centre of town is small and it would be best described as a quiet destination but it does have sufficient banks and limited shopping including a couple of small supermarkets, selling the usual holiday essentials.
