Marrakech became a favourite hangout with the hippies of the 60`s due to the mysticism of this ancient city, the colourful markets and vibrant atmosphere. The medina`s maze of narrow streets and alleyways are lined with shops and stalls, whilst the streets are filled with snake charmers, magicians and fire eaters to entertain you.
The Marrakech weather regularly hits the 20`s in the winter months and can reach the mid 30`s during the height of summer, so make sure you pack that sun tan lotion. Being inland means there is no beach in Marrakech, but holiday makers come here for the dazzling sights of this culturally rich city that has existed for over 1000 years. When we say eating out in Marrakech is a delight, it is an understatement as it is an unforgettable experience. The spices and aromas that come from the restaurants and cafes entice you to try the exquisite tastes of the local cuisine and don`t worry if it`s not to your liking as there are many establishments serving fast food and international dishes to suit all tastes. Nightlife in Marrakech mainly consists of the piano bars and nightclubs of the hotels, which stay open well into the early hours, though if you head to the main square in Marrakech you will find an incredible buzzing scene, with the square filled with buskers of all kinds.
