The beautiful traditional island of Skopelos is reached via a 45 minute hydrofoil ride from the island of Skiathos. Skopelos Town holidays involve narrow cobbled streets, white washed buildings and picturesque views. Skopelos holiday season runs from April to October, when the temperature can rise from 20° to 30°, ideal for sunbathing and swimming on the glorious beaches, reached via public transport or on foot.
From the glorious harbour, lined with bars, tavernas and cafes climb up the hill to the 13th century Venetian fortress, passing the craft and art shops, selling leather ware, ceramics, jewellery and art, on the way as you fall into the laidback pace of life.
Around the harbour you can enjoy local and international cuisine, as well as delicious, locally caught, fresh fish dishes in the restaurants, cafes and tavernas whilst watching the boats bobbing on the water.
Skopelos Town nightlife is fairly relaxed with a few bars and tavernas, although there are a few discos.
