Located on the south-east coast of Santorini, Perissa lies alongside a 5 mile stretch of black sandy beach, with sun beds, parasols and many water sports available. The Perissa holiday season runs from April to November, when the temperature can rise from 20° through to the early 30`s, so make sure you pack the sun cream to top up that tan.
To the north end of Perissa Beach the cliffs of Mesa Vouno light up spectacularly at night and throughout the resort there are a number of cafes, bars, restaurants and tavernas serving local and international cuisine to suit all tastes. Perissa nightlife is fairly lively compared to other resorts in Santorini, with bars and nightclubs staying open well into the night.
If you are looking for a full day`s shopping then head into the capital, Fira, which is full of shops, boutiques and markets. In Perissa the usual holiday essentials and some good cheap holiday souvenirs can be purchased from the mini-markets and craft shops.
