Located on the north coast of Samos, 6 miles from Samos Town, Kokkari has grown to become the 3rd largest resort on the island, attracting couples, families and younger groups. The Kokkari holiday season runs from April to October when the temperature can rise from 20° through to the early 30`s.
Kokkari`s long stretch of beach has plenty of water sports available and consists of pebbles and shingle. Other beaches close by include Tzamadou, a sandy bay with a nudist section at the west end, and Lemonakia which is known for it`s white sands.
There is a good selection of shops in Kokkari offering the usual holiday essentials and some good cheap holiday souvenirs. All tastes are catered for when it comes to eating out in Kokkari with restaurants, bars and tavernas along the bay front offering local and international cuisine, as well as delicious, freshly caught fish dishes.
