On the northern tip of the island is the capital Rhodes Town, a resort steeped in history and home to an award winning, long beach. Along this stretch of coastline you will find coves and smaller beaches, as well as the louder resort of Faliraki, 9 miles away. There are also plenty of restaurants offering international cuisine and after eating there are a great choice of tavernas and bars to choose from, as well as the casino. Close to the Mandraki Harbour you will find an abundance of shops and boutiques selling the latest fashions and souvenirs, whilst in the Old Town there are shops selling jewellery and local wares.
