On the east coast of Rhodes, lies one of the prettiest resorts of the whole island, Lindos. Down throughout the years it has been inhabited by Romans, Turks, Byzantines and Italians, which is reflected in the cobbled streets, whitewashed cottages, medieval walls, acropolis and beautiful architecture. The only forms of transport allowed in Lindos are donkeys and motorbikes, making it easy to stroll around the centre in an almost traffic free environment.
Temperatures in Lindos can range between 15-21 ° off season and 25-31 ° during the summer months, perfect for sunbathing on the sheltered beach that gently slopes into the crystal, clear sea. Just under a kilometre away is another lovely beach, St Paul`s Bay, which is almost completely enclosed by rocks forming a gigantic natural pool, and just outside Lindos you will find Vlicha Bay, for complete peace and tranquillity. There are many water sports available to try your hand at if you can tear yourself away from lazing in the sunshine.
In the Old Town there are a great selection of tavernas and restaurants, with rooftop terraces, offering stunning views across the sea. Tavernas line the seafront in Lindos Bay and after enjoying a delicious meal you will find a great choice of cocktail bars, as well as a couple of clubs, to dance into the evening. After midnight local law states that the volume is regulated, so you can continue into the night without disturbing the relaxed vibe of Lindos.
The cobbled streets of Lindos are full of craft shops and boutiques as well as a number of supermarkets to stock up on the holiday essentials.
Lindos is approximately 55 minutes from Rhodes Airport - 47km (29 miles).

The beautiful cobbled streets, lined with craft shops, the laidback vibe and wonderful coves make Lindos an appealing holiday destination for couples looking to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner on a rooftop terrace.
Great for Families

Chic clubs and cocktail bars along the cobbled streets, offering rooftop terraces and spectacular sea views and there are 3 open air clubs in Lindos, one on the crest of the hill as you enter the resort.
To the north end of Lindos Bay is the wonderful Pallas Beach, to the south end you will find St Paul`s Bay, enclosed by rocks to form a massive natural pool. Just outside of Lindos is the tranquil bay of Vlicha.
The cobbled streets of Lindos are crammed with craft shops and boutiques selling leather wares, jewellery, ceramics and much more.
Great Water Sports
You can try diving or snorkelling around Lindos Bay or book up for jet skiing, banana boat rides paragliding and water skiing.
Great Day Trips
You can take a boat trip from Lindos to the beautiful island of Symi, a day trip to historical Rhodes Town or even visit Marmaris in Turkey. The hilltop acropolis, with it`s ancient Greek Temple is a must for holiday makers and can be reached on foot or a donkey ride form the centre of Lindos.
Being recognised as a national heritage site in the late 70`s meant that Lindos has retained it`s Greek origins and not been ruined by modern hotels and tourism.
