Located 7km south of Lindos, on the east coast of Rhodes, Lardos lies just inland from the coast, surrounded by hills and olive groves, and offers a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The temperature off season can range between 15-21°, while during the summer from 26-31°, perfect for sunbathing on the long beach and cooling off in the crystal clear water.
Life tends to revolve around the main square, in Lardos, with it`s natural spring water fountain and restaurants, cafes and bars. In the evening there is a laidback vibe in the bars, where you can enjoy a drink, mixing with the locals and sample the traditional, Greek cuisine, which comes highly recommended. If you are looking for a livelier atmosphere then a trip to Lindos is probably your best bet, where you can find a couple of discos. Locally produced pottery, leather wares and traditional rugs are some of the holiday souvenirs to try your bartering skills out, or head into nearby Lindos for a more varied choice.
