The holiday resort of Kalathos is 4 miles north of Lindos, in Kalathos Bay. It is a small traditional Greek village having lost none of it`s charm and relaxed atmosphere and is located just off the coastal road connecting Lindos to Rhodes Town.
Kalathos lies below an ancient acropolis, just inland from the coast with a handful of cafes, tavernas and bars in the village, as well as along the beach which is a 15 minute walk away. The beach stretches for miles along the coastline with water sports available and the added bonus of never being over crowded.
The temperature off season can range between 15-21° and during the summer months a wonderful 25-31°, perfect for sunbathing and cooling off with a swim in the crystal clear sea.
Kalathos is a popular choice for holiday makers who are looking for a relaxed friendly resort, yet close to the beautiful Lindos, with it`s shops, boutiques and cosmopolitan nightlife. Lindos is just a cheap taxi ride away, or there is a good bus service to and from Lindos and Rhodes Town.
