Stalis lies on the north coast of Crete. It is occasionally known as Stalida and is located next to Malia and 3 miles from Hersonissos. The beach in Stalis is a beautiful stretch of sand, divided by rocks and almost reaching Malia.
The temperature in Stalis can range between 14-21° off season and 25-30° during the summer, perfect for sunbathing during the day and dipping into the sea to cool off. Families and couples alike are attracted to Stalis for it`s lovely beaches, plenty of bars and great activities, yet not having the lively tag of it`s neighbour, Malia.
Restaurants and tavernas in Malia cater for everyone, offering traditional local cuisine, fresh fish dishes and international food, including British meals. After watching the sun go down, whilst polishing off a bottle of chilled Greek wine, head on to one of the local bars or discos, to dance the night away.
Stalis has a handful of mini-markets to purchase those holiday essentials, as well as local shops selling clothes, jewellery and handicrafts, and is a great base from where to explore all of the surrounding area.
