Located on the outskirts of Heraklion, Ammoudara is a purpose built resort, popular with all ages of holiday makers, alongside a 3 mile stretch of lovely sandy beach. Heraklion, the capital of Crete is just a short, cheap bus ride away where you will find an even wider choice of eateries and drinking establishments, and from there you can book up to visit just about anywhere on the island.
