For Crete holidays you can fly into Chania on the beautiful west side of Crete and explore the Samaria Gorge, or fly into Heraklion in the busier east side of the island, where you can head to Malia, the party hotspot with bars, pubs, discos and nightclubs open until the sun comes up.
Some of the ancient ruins and archaeological sites to visit on a Crete holiday include the Minoan Palaces of Knossos and Phaestos, as well as Gortyn, Zakros and Malia. The many Crete museums are interesting to understand Cretan history.
