The wonderful resort of Sharm el Sheikh lies right on the coast of the Sinai Peninsula, between Mount Sinai and the Red Sea, in Egypt. At the entrance of the Gulf of Aqaba and looking out across to Tiran Island, Sharm el Sheikh is the sun-worshipping holiday makers paradise.
From 20° in December and January through to 35° in July and August, Sharm el Sheikh really is the all year round holiday resort, and with the sea temperature averaging 20° in January to a glorious 26° from July to September it is no wonder that holiday makers return year after year. The coastline is a mixture of lovely sandy beaches and jetties for easy access to the crystal clear sea. Most of the hotels offer plenty of facilities for children and adults alike, with many watersports available. Outside of the hotels, the shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs are all based in Naama Bay, which is easily accessible through cheap taxis or free shuttle buses that the hotels provide.

From the local Egyptian Oriental cuisine, freshly caught seafood specialities, falafels sold on the street stalls, to restaurants selling food from around the world and a number of fast food establishments.
The 4th century St Catherine`s Monastery is at the foot of Mount Sinai, the site of Moses` and the burning bush is worth visiting, or why not take a guided tour into the desert by camel or jeep to visit the traditional Bedouin villages and see the spectacular sunset over the mountains.
Fantastic Diving & Snorkelling
With visibility crystal clear and the sea reaching temperatures of 26°, Sharm el Sheikh is a haven for diving and snorkelling enthusiasts. You can snorkel from the beach and jetties to see all kinds of rare tropical fish, or take a day trip on a boat to snorkel or dive with turtles, dolphins, magnificent corals and exotic underwater flora.

Most of the hotels in Sharm el Sheikh have their own kids clubs and entertainment programmes, as well as dive centres, swimming pools, sports facilities, health clubs and theme parks. The hotels can also book guests onto day trips, including camel and horse riding, desert safaris and watersports like windsurfing, canoeing, boating, and water skiing and parasailing.
The markets and shops in Naama Bay provide holiday makers with an array of souvenirs and international products, including wood carvings, leather goods, jewellery, books, clothing and pottery.
Transport to and from Sharm el Sheikh Airport is available through the shuttle bus transfers, reserved when booking, or alternatively a taxi rank outside the airport is a cheap and more direct way.
