Looking across the stunning River Nile, Luxor stands on the east bank and is the perfect resort for historical sites and monuments, as well as tombs and ancient temples. These days luxury hotels line the banks of this once ancient city of Thebes, often described as one of the greatest ancient sightseeing areas in the world.
With the summer months in Luxor reaching temperatures in the thirties and forties, the most popular time of year to visit is between October and March where you will find the temperature in the mid to late 20`s, making it much more enjoyable for sightseeing. Most of the nightlife is based in the hotels, with a range of evening entertainment and live shows, including belly dancing and traditional music. The local nightlife revolves around the Luxor Bazaar for souvenirs and bars. There is a good range of local and international cuisine, such as falafel balls in pitta bread to European and Far Eastern delights.

Luxor is approximately 20 minutes from Luxor Airport - 10km (6 miles).
