There are a good selection of restaurants and bars to choose from in Playa Blanca, specialising in local cuisine, such as fish in a spicy sauce known as `mojo`, and salted potatoes in their skins known as `papas arugadas`, as well as international cuisine from around the world, including many British dishes. Playa Blanca has supermarkets and tourist shops, for those souvenirs, designer shops in the new Rubicon Marina area and the few music bars in Playa Blanca provide live entertainment and professional shows, though if you are looking for a lively night out then a taxi (30 mins) to Puerto Del Carmen is worth a visit. For those lovers of watersports you can book from the beachfront anything from boat trips to the Papagayo beaches, scuba diving to a short ferry ride over to Fuerteventura.
