The small resort of San Augustin is just 3km from the bustling Playa Del Ingles, yet has retained a quiet, relaxing feel to it. There are 3 lovely black sand beaches to laze around on and soak up the Canarian sun and a good choice of bars and restaurants offering ice cold drinks and international or local cuisine.
The Tapas and Al Fresco restaurants are great for sampling fresh fish dipped in mojo, a chilli and garlic sauce, or papas arrugadas which are potatoes specially cooked in salted skins. There is a casino in San Augustin, though if you are looking for a big night out then nearby Playa Del Ingles has the party scene. The same goes for shopping, with a few small shops and boutiques in San Augustin and Playa Del Ingles being a shopper`s paradise.
