With probably the nicest coastline on Gran Canaria, 6km of golden sandy beach, Maspalomas is a popular resort for those looking for a relaxing holiday; yet close by to Playa Del Ingles which is the busiest resort on the island. The two are separated by a mass of sand dunes and the promenade stretching between them has many shops, bars restaurants and fun pubs.
The temperature in Maspalomas can vary in winter from 22°-24° and the summer from 26° to as warm as 33°, making it a paradise for sun bathing or cooling off in the crystal clear sea. There are some lovely restaurants serving everything from local cuisine to international foods and while the bars stay open late it is recommended you make the short journey to nearby Playa Del Ingles if you wish to party through the night.
Maspalomas does have shops and boutiques selling designer clothes, though for shopping enthusiasts a trip to Playa Del Ingles will satisfy their needs. If you don`t wish to spend the day on the beach then why not check out the exciting Aqua park or take a camel ride through the sand dunes, visit the zoo, aquarium or amusement park.
