On the south east coast of Fuerteventura you will find the peaceful resort of Costa Calma. The spectacular beach here is Playa de Sotavento, an incredible 30km long stretch of golden sand which gently slopes down into the calm clear sea. This all year round holiday resort has temperatures in the range of 22°-24° between November and March, rising to 26°-33° from April to October.
There are a number of cafes, bars and restaurants in Costa Calma offering snacks, ice cold drinks and a wide variety of local and international cuisine, although the nightlife is limited to the bars and the hotels in house entertainment. The two small shopping centres in Costa Calma have a bank and a few boutiques and souvenir shops, but all in all holiday makers come here to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach and coastline.
