Situated in the south- east tip of the island, Colonia Sant Jordi, or Port de Campos as it is sometimes known, is a totally relaxed resort, unspoilt by commercialism and offering a wide variety of good restaurants and bars. Early each day, from the fishing harbour at Colonia Sant Jordi, the local ferry makes the short trip to the small and historic island of Cabrera which has been deemed a National Park; do take plenty of food and water for the day, as there are no shops.
To either side of the Colonia Sant Jordi Harbour there are a number of nice beaches, with great facilities and when it comes to eating there are some excellent fresh fish dishes and local cuisine to sample over a chilled bottle of Spanish white wine.
