Located on the east coast of the island, the relaxed resort of Canyamel, Majorca, sits between Cala Ratjada and Cala Millor, popular with couples, families and golf enthusiasts. There are some fine Canyamel golf courses nearby, as well as tennis courts and woodland hiking.
The Canyamel weather can vary between 15-21° out of season and up to 33° during the summer months, excellent for sunbathing on the long sandy beach and cooling off in the shallow sea. Life in Canyamel tends to revolve around the lovely bay, surrounded by pine trees, with a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. If you are looking for a lively night out then head to nearby Cala Millor, for although Canyamel has a choice of good bars it is not renowned for it`s busy nightlife. Fish restaurants are popular in Canyamel, serving freshly caught dishes and Spanish tapas bars offer delicious local cuisine. International meals to suit all tastes are also available. There are a number of supermarkets for all of those holiday essentials, as well as souvenir shops selling cheap holiday gifts.
