Cala Mayor, Majorca is located on the south-west coast of the island, between the City of Palma and Magaluf, popular with couples and families due to it`s friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The weather in Cala Mayor can range between 15-21° out of season and up to 33° during the summer months.
The golden, sandy beach is perfect for lazing the day away, lapping up the sun and dipping in and out of the crystal, clear water. A number of shops, bars and restaurants are spread along the palm-tree lined waterfront, where you can sample local and international cuisine to suit all tastes, then extend your evening in one of the bars.
Although much of the nightlife is based at your hotel, Cala Mayor still has a choice of good bars, although it is classed as a relaxed resort so if you want to party all night long then head to nearby Magaluf. As for shopping, Cala Mayor has gift shops, souvenir shops and mini-markets selling the usual holiday essentials, but Palma is easily accessed with fantastic shopping opportunities.
