On the south-east coast of the island is the beautiful resort of Cala D`or, Majorca, popular with couples and families alike looking for wonderful beaches, good activities and nightlife to suit everyone. Cala D`or weather can range from 15-21° out of season and up to 33° during the summer months, perfect for sunbathing on the main Cala Gran beach, or any one of the other 6 coves along this stretch of coastline.
The name Cala D`or translates to `Golden Cove` and along the seafront, by the marina, you will find an excellent choice of restaurants, offering local cuisine, international dishes and seafood specialities, to cater for most tastes. Although the Cala D`or nightlife is not renowned for it`s liveliness, it still has a great choice of bars, music venues and discos around the marina to keep you entertained into the night. A number of shops and boutiques sell locally produced art and crafts, while the mini-markets provide all of those holiday essentials, and there are some wonderful resorts nearby worth visiting whilst on holiday in Cala D`or.
