Bookable Holidays Limited (trading as bookableholidays.com and bookableholidays.co.uk) under ABTA numbers K2109 and Y054X and ATOL number 9875 has ceased trading and entered Administration (High Court number 7158 of 2014) on 14 October 2014.
Advice for customers of Bookable Holidays
Customers currently on holiday
For customers who booked their flight and hotel through Bookable Holidays, and have arrived at their hotel and are not able to check in because the hotel booking has been cancelled, please check your booking documents.
If you have an ATOL Certificate or an ATOL receipt and you are asked to pay again for accommodation, or other elements purchased as part of the ATOL Flight-Plus trip, you should ensure that you retain a clear receipt showing the method of payment as this will be required in order to submit a claim for reimbursement from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) website www.atol.org.uk
If you do not have an ATOL Certificate or an ATOL receipt stating Bookable holidays ATOL 9875 as the protecting ATOL holder, your protection for these elements may be with your credit or debit card provider. You are advised to check with ABTA (www.abta.co.uk or 0203 758 8736) and/or your card provider about obtaining a refund for any additional charges incurred.
Customers due to travel (bookings for future holidays)
1. If you have a Flight-Plus booking through Bookable Holidays
If you have booked a Flight-Plus trip through Bookable Holidays and you hold an ATOL Certificate or an ATOL receipt which states the protector as Bookable Holidays Ltd ATOL 9785 you need to contact the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) website www.atol.org.uk
2. If you have booked your flight and accommodation through Bookable Holidays but do not have an ATOL Certificate or an ATOL receipt stating Bookable holidays ATOL 9875 as the protecting ATOL holder, you are not ATOL protected under Bookable holidays ATOL protection.
If your booking includes flights and the payment went directly from you to the flight provider you may still be able to travel. You are advised to check with the Airline as per the existing flight ticket. There is however a risk other elements of the booking, such as accommodation, have not been paid for and you may be asked to pay again for these services. You are advised to check with the accommodation provider which will be detailed on your accommodation voucher.
As you are not protected under Bookable Holidays ATOL, your protection for these elements may be with your credit or debit card provider. You are advised to check with ABTA (www.abta.co.uk or 0203 758 8736) and/or your card provider about obtaining a refund.
3. If you booked only your accommodation through Bookable Holidays
If you booked your hotel, villa, apartment, studio through Bookable Holidays please check your paperwork. Your accommodation may be being provided by another supplier for whom Bookable Holidays were acting as an agent. In this instance, you will need to contact that company directly to see if they have received the booking. It is possible that your accommodation booking is no longer valid. If that is the case, you are advised to check with ABTA (www.abta.co.uk or 0203 758 8736) and/or your card provider about obtaining a refund.
